one of the easiest ways to gauge a startupโ€™s culture is to listen to how often the founders say 'we' vs โ€˜iโ€™ when talking about wins

what about on a personal level / in relationship? I've noticed that I use "I" quite a bit ๐Ÿ˜… How much is it mindset vs personality, nature vs nuture? And does using I have to have a negative connotation all the time? Maybe it can indicate more of an independent mindset, which is useful and complementary to a collective one.

not always negative! using โ€œiโ€ statements when communicating how you feel during conflict actually has a very positive connotation. using โ€œiโ€ when accepting blame / responsibility, too.
