I did this. Was too paranoid about getting locked out of Google as a single point of failure for all my accounts. You can only use up to 5 domains with iCloud right now though.

Had this same concern about losing access to Google Domains because of some weird strike against my personal google account. Have been migrating my domains to Cloudflare
