A potential bug in Geth that causes an invalid chain to get finalized will not only destroy $50B of value (most of which are held by unsophisticated retail users) but could reduce Ethereum's economic security by 75%, rendering it 30% less economically secure compared to Solana.

Any links you'd recommend about Solana's economic security today? Does it have slashing penalties already activated? (Or do you just mean the total capital locked in staking?)

Is there more context to this cast? Was there a recent security incident? This threat reminds me of when bitcoin had that issue whereby a miner could produce a "valid" block that minted extra coins.
