Upcoming channel changes We're *previewing* some upcoming changes so people 1) can understand and 2) provide feedback. These changes are not launching yet. It will be a couple weeks. There will also be a bunch of communication to channel owners. After reading the entire doc, feel free to reply to with feedback or send me a DC. I've tried to answer a lot of common questions in the FAQ. https://warpcast.notion.site/Upcoming-channel-changes-1056a6c0c101800caee6ea8133f8f966

If I invite someone to my channel, do they automatically become a member or do they have to accept the invitation? If the latter, will there be APIs for that too, and can they be triggered using Signers?

Awesome. And to accept membership, is that done only through app OR will there be APIs for that too?

For users, in-app. Not sure why a user would want to programmatic accept an invite. For bots, they can automatically accept being added as a mod (to help manage the channel).

Yeah, it might be an unexpected use case. In nouns.camp we create a channel per proposal and then users can comment using farcaster, instead of directly on-chain. Those 'comments' are mainly casts into that initial prop channel. For example, the comment in the image ends up in farcaster: https://warpcast.com/acetcg/0xe80d08a48439e375120607171c746ee796db94c0 To do this, we create a camp signer on behalf of the user and then use it to cast. With the new membership changes, I wonder if we need to revisit that.
