Apparently teeth grinding/jaw clenching has nothing to do with your teeth, but your teeth have to put up with all the damage. Your oral health can be A1, and because of a change in diet, environment you’ll start grinding your teeth at night, or even while you work. How can I make this stop though😵‍💫

Not going to lie, I miss going to school and taking notes with big highlighters and colored pens. And just recently I’ve been doing that again with this Human Behavioral Biology lecture from Stanford University. If you’re addicted to YouTube like I am, I highly recommend this playlist. I’m barely on the third lecture, and Sapolsky does an amazing job at using analogies and examples to explain advanced ideas about our behavior and evolution as a species. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL848F2368C90DDC3D&si=kSO7ItS95ty4gX_R

Buying flowers for your home makes the difference. Do something nice for yourself and your surroundings, and buy yourself some flowers🌺 If you get lillies, make sure their head is in the sun and feet in the shade☀️

The other day I painfully burnt myself cooking🥴and after consulting doctor friends and doing my own biology reading, I found something better than Vaseline: Phytostimuline or Wheat Germ (Triticum vulgare) extract. The extract contains proteins that promote cell proliferation and migration, exactly what I want to avoid major scarring. Phytostimuline is known to promote healing through keratinocyte (primary cells in the skin) stimulation, collagen synthesis, and fibroblast activity (aids tissues repair even further). It also has some antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, but I’m focusing on reducing the appearance of a scar.

Hey! That book is a journey, definitely a challenge. It’s best to take your time. I’m currently reading the Omnivore’s Dilemma, another big big book.

Friendly reminder that the bananas you buy at the store, Musa acuminata or Cavendish banana, can’t be found in the wild. This popular variety is propagated through cloning, since they are clearly seedless, making them dependent on human cultivation for their reproduction. So, basically, I have no idea the name of the bananas from my backyard. These seem to be smaller and sweeter, my neighbor says they’re “banano enano (midget banana)” - and no, they’re not “murrapos”

I’m still questioning why he mentioned absorbic acid, what’s the process of breaking down corn into vitamin C?

There’s no hiding from corn🌽👻 “For modified or unmodified starch, for glucose syrup and maltodextrin, for crystalline fructose and absorbic acid, for lecithin and dextrose, lactic acid and lysine, for maltose and HFCS, for MSG and polyols, for the caramel color and xanthan gum, read: corn🌽.”

Flamingos aren’t pink unless they have a right diet 🦐 Flamingos get their color from algae and other crustaceans. Let’s not mess with their habitat
