We dreamed of solving sharding. We wanted to have daily encrypted mempools. We have tried to reach for the sky and build a multidimensional gas market. Now it's 2024 and every third project is building an airdrop eligibility checker.

I never said that it's not impressive technology. What am saying is that the gener focus is too much on this angle rn whilst we could use the brain power (and invested money) somewhere else. I just think too much money is misallocated now on building this.

Airdrop eligibility checkers are impressive and valuable social technology!

Anti-sybil and retro public goods funding would have a much harder time leaving the theory stage without them.

We’re along the way for sharding and now have different gas market for blobs vs calldata… not so bad i think?
