He really should have never used that account.  It should have been cold storage, only accepting NFTs from his other more active wallets.  Think account 1, 2.  account 1 is used to interact with dapps etc., account 2 only sends/receives with account 1.

yea just confirmed he was using a ledger, stay safe out there fam

they could be on the same recovery phrase but obv even better if they are on diff entirely.  HW wallet too, but in this case that didn't matter, he very likely was using one (something I'm trying to still confirm tho)

I don't have a great answer for you, other than there are pros/cons to the setup I suggested and you've rightfully pointed out one of the pain points for sure.  There are a lot of really smart people working on account level improvements which I think will solve some of these issues over the next few years.

Dumb q - but then how can I use my nfts as pfps (or in game assets or whatever…) if they are all in account 2 and I never connect a dapp to this wallet
