New uniswap drama: the lawyers sent takedown notices to legitimate forks that removed censorship. If you are looking to embed uni functionality into your app, glance over micro-eth-signer (https://github.com/paulmillr/micro-eth-signer). It allows to call Uni contract directly, without censorship, in 10 lines of code.

Am I reading this right — they’re suing to keep uniswap frontends censored?

I saw @haydenzadams respond to @lefteris.eth on X yesterday clarifying that there has been some miscommunication! https://x.com/lefterisjp/status/1753464447530664152?s=46&t=EANm1QFs_mXoRsPz4PqbvA

yes it's ... a mess. I think as an org they are over litigating, but also they are right going after spam/scammers. This instance, if you read the blog, is a colossal failure of communication.

I believe it is not just miscommunication. It’s malevolence. Hayden in the blog post never mentioned that what Micah did was right. E.g that they would still send copyright claim against these kinds of forks. “Uncensored uniswap” phrase is descriptive and discoverable and should not be banned.
