Was a bit doubtful of Ledger Stax when it was announced, but have been using it  for a month and it is actually an excellent product: 
- decoded signatures (vhelpful on Safe)
- much less clicks
- easy to recognize ledgers with images and inscriptions
- the magnet is addictive

I d say Stax is 40% better than the previous version. Not a must have, but very nice to have

I own a Ledger Nano, I didn't buy their stacks due to high price points and unfavorable publicity in recent years. I acknowledge that Ledger excels in terms of mindshare and UI/UX. 

Lately, I've been intrigued by more open-source HW like @bitboxswiss. However, I'm not particularly fond of their physical device when it comes to verifying transactions.

On a scale of 1-10 how high would you recommend stacks to a native crypto person?

The price point is a big barrier. I’m interested in how it compares to the new Flex, which also has the lockscreen nft option.
