I love the EF's recent push to test new things. However, publicly using specific DeFi protocols could be a mistake.

Neutral infrastructure empowers all builders equally. When some builders receive preferential vetting, it widely discourages new/small players from participating.

This is the number one reason I've heard from EF people on why the EF does not "use" any Ethereum protocols.

If we want this to change it has to start somewhere, and hopefully over time more protocols will be used.

Totally agree neutrality should remain the cornerstone of Ethereum’s ethos. Supporting DeFi broadly without favoritism could better foster innovation and inclusion.

Now it seems no matter what ef does they will be criticized 😹

It’s a a difficult balance to make, because ignoring all protocols built on top of Eth could also send a wrong message
