for me, coding with ai has gotten rid off all the parts of programming that were annoying and mindless and kept all the parts that are fun and mindful

Same. It took me a while to get good at the rhythm but now it’s amazing for exactly what you described. The biggest gains for me are in the ts context. No more googling for the magical dense obscure syntax. It just autocompletes. How much do you use composer vs chat vs autocompletes, etc? What’s your estimate of how it has impacted your output? What’s your sense of how it has impacted your input? My gut sense is that on a typical day I’m 2-5x more productive now. But I seem to feel the urge to take breaks more often, presumably because all the low RPM stuff comes for free now and what remains is high RPM thinking

For most people, coding with AI is fun for the first five prompts… Developing is the easy part, debugging is the challenge.
