Visual Poetry

Work by Erthos Albino de Souza from the early 70's. I've not been able to track the title.

Erthos composed his generative poems using ​​Fortran and the PL1 software language.

It's not straightforward to categorise this work in my opinion. This time I am going to add it to /visual-poetry

i would call this visual poetry, but you could call it a lot of things imo

Agreed with all you say. I am a sucker for those computer printouts with the guide sprockets, too

I'm am old enough to remember using the 'Research Machines' 380Z in my first year at secondary school. It had the same printout sheets. I was quite a way ahead of the class in BASIC as I had a ZX Spectrum at home. I used to make trig plots like these on the 380Z printer. Wish I still had them :/

same! i used to tear off those perforated guides and keep them for other arts and crafts. every bit of the image you shared is precious.
