I've got so many typewriter drawings not documented, maybe up to a hundred. This one was created last year. Returning to it today, I can see the textile patterns and textures breaking through yet again.

Yeah, it's all just manually typed in this instance. I think you could use a typewriter emulator on screen but it wouldn't give you the same finish or tactility. It would be good to programmatically control a mechanical typewriter, and I've thought about doing this a few times.

You do all this on real typewriter? 
I wonder if there are emulator that would allow to do similar things in a modern way ?

This one is just good old hand-typing, and entirely improvised. Some of the other typed pieces use strict rule-sets, and a small subset of those use patterns borrowed from my gen art pieces that also use letters and signs.

How are these created? I’m guessing you literally type? Or, code?
