Should we introduce a new sign up tier to reduce the cost of signing up? 

Would be low cost (< 25c) but come with much smaller storage limits like maybe 10 casts, 100 follows or something like that.

We're considering reducing sign up costs by 90%. Weigh in!

That’s great for a massive influx of bots (they do not need to maintain following or casts).

I do not see how that could improve retention or content quality.

That’s just increasing signups, same as what marketing would do, and this is useless if there is no retention as you already stated.

A good way to increase DAUs without breaking the hubs architecture though.

I would look at retro grants for these apps rather than a “almost free for all” in that case.
You can then control the influx

It’s a top request from other crypto apps that would consider integrating Farcaster as a protocol and bringing existing users
