Warpcast

There are many opportunities for folks to add "missing features" to Warpcast via frames.

These X features are a good starting point.

Which other "missing features" do you think could be served with frames?

(WC has Bookmarks but I'm sure someone else could do a much better job than us with this feature)

Why would someone add features to Warpcast, if not the Merkle team ?

Incentives matter for sure. Many build just because they can, for fun, to contribute. This is not a long term solution of course. We'd have to figure out how to ensure devs stay happy and keep maintaining their frames.

We don't want all frames to just break because devs let.

I should have explained my thoughts before just stating that.

IMO, either building on Farcaster stays a side project for builders, and Farcaster stays a fun experiment, or Farcaster grows up to be a +1m DAU network, which would provide a big enough market for builders to build solid businesses, that would then help the network grow.

And I think that initial growth burst has to come through Warpcast.
From there, many devs will build many cool stuff.

But today, it is very hard to find any incentive to build cool features that will most probably be integrated in Warpcast (or paid-Warpcast) in the future, knowing that MM has more than enough funds to build them.

With the current DAUs, I doubt it would be profitable.
And if it is such an important features most users would be willing to pay,for sure MM would implement it
