There comes a time in a new colony where the queen bee has to fly to look for male bees to mate with. This happens only once in a lifetime. Well, it was almost that time for queen Jessica. She is the queen of the lombart colony as they refer to themselves. When the time came, every bee in her colony bid her farewell. Obviously, they were all thrilled that the new generation of bees will be born soon. So, queen Veronica moved out. In her quest of finding the male bees colony; she met a loner named Mark. He was cast out for being weak and timid. Everyone in the colony bullied him, so he left. After spending time with Mark, she fell in love with him. However, she was on a mission. She had to go and mate. So she left and finally found a colony. As per the usual festival, she flew by the colony and the male bees flocked her and 10 ā 15 of them were able to mate with her and she flew back to her colony. Page 1 of 2

Upon being in her colony, and even being pregnant, she felt lonely and missed Mark a lot. So, in time, Jessica laid her eggs. Low and behold, a new queen was part of the newborns. Based on tradition, queen Jessica had to be killed in order to make way for the new queen. Jessica hears about this and fled the colony. She got scared and tracked Mark down. After a few days of wandering, she found Mark. She and Mark lived a very happy life together. My little bee story. š š· Mark and Jessica š¤£
