i saw kaki king at the newport folk festival in 2005 

she blew my mind 

saw her again at joe's in nyc years later and she'd grown so much as an artist 

one of the best guitar players and performers out there

oh man that’s awesome. that was probably around the time i discovered her as well

yeah, that first record was really terrific, i think it's the first (the burgundy one)

i bought it from her at the merch desk after the show

i have met very few ppl who know her

she's one of a kind
