As long as the BTC ecosystem doesn't evolve, its security budget is fatally flawed, and it's hard to say whose Iron Throne the crypto space will be. As long as ethereum doesn't compromise on decentralization and security, doesn't go the way of Solana, and continues to push forward on application innovation, it has a chance to make a real breakthrough.
