maybe legacy perception at this point, but when i see the purple plus next to someone’s pfp i immediately assume they’re a bot when on x and i see someone interesting, ill go to their profile “am i following them?” on wc i don’t. maybe just a me thing but id follow more people if the + button didn’t exist.
