I had a CPG/manufacturing company which I ran profitably for 7 years

A frivolous lawsuit from a very large competitor killed the company, I couldn't afford the lawyer fees

On the back of that, I shut shop, moved to the US to be with my partner and never looked back

Amazing. Often the periods of uncertainty are the ones that feel like a broken compass, though they have the most space for creation. In hindsight, it becomes clear that it was right path, and the patters are visible for the next time: trust, keep moving and doing your thing 👌

Partner and I would still be together, except we might be living somewhere other than the US

Profession wise its unclear what I would be doing

The move to the US allowed me to have a fresh start, and in the Bay Area I got accepted and offered a leg up by the likes of @christophera 

I don't think anywhere else in the US or globally would have supported such a career reset compared to the Bay Area
