For many years before my present job, I worked remotely, and thus the only time I saw coworkers was during online meetings, which I always find stressful. Now I work in an office and have a cohort of fellow employees whom I socialize with. I don’t really care if it makes us more productive at work because we socialize, but it is a valuable social outlet.

Works for extroverts but slightly introverted autists like myself don't really get as much from the socializing while office work hurts my performance. We do have sauna evenings monthly though with Phaver. 🍻

I, too, can be exhausted by socializing. I only socialize with a select group of coworkers who are familiar to me, so the conversation come easily. We generally see films (I see a lot of films, as my feed reveals) and then go out for drinks (the cinema has an excellent bar and bartender). For me, the familiarity takes away stress, but I am not neuro-divergent, so my experience will vary.

I feel it and it can see that boosting the entire work experience 😎 much of the lighter side is about building rapport and trust so can later more easily dive into the more challenging situations that may come up at work. We Finns usually find that through sauna - being naked next to each other with nothing to hide and ofcourse some drinks to go with it. Talking shit outside of the work is very beneficial. Especially important with the developers 😁 but for me once a month or two is enough. Outside of that it's Sisu, my wife and a few friends.
