New folks :: I challenge you to not just follow people when you see they have loads of followers, or you recognise them as a “name” from Twitter. Instead, seek out more of the content that makes you feel something — whether it be art, writing, community. We have an opportunity to move differently here.

that’s been my strategy for keeping my timeline healthier compared to twitter. i have only really followed ppl who i’ve had interesting convos with. i don’t check my follows so i really only know if someone is here if they engage me or are in channels i’m in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
