having an epiphany i am my biggest critic and it's killing me that i can't even accept compliments, my immediate reaction is to deny and move on

Also struggle w/ this, the best answer I’ve found (esp since you sound driven and self-critique is constant for such people) is find friends to keep you grounded and remember where you started. Also remembering wisdom/life is accrued
