My prediction is that Farcaster only grows on a Bull Market, when shit tokens and NFTs are all around. So while there is economic incentive to join and farm, new users flow. Ofc this is not sustainable. There is few quality content. Farcaster didn't take the opportunity to become the new Twitter when Twitter disappeared. It's not sexy for mainstream ppl. I'm not able to find a single Cast of someone not related to crypto... So IMHO the focus should be to reach out to the real world.

Myself and my collegues have been 6 months designing this protocol. After 7 years doing digital voting solutions, I'd say: DAVINCI is our master piece. The major protocol upgrade we ever did.

You can build the Census you want. At the end it is a Merkle-tree out of addresses and weights. Where the weight can be the token holdings or anything else, for instance the @gitcoin reputation. We built a service named census3 that allow that and more. Let's talk once we launch the tesnet (june) if you want to make a pilot with us.

I'm thinking about building a proxy-rpc that one can run on its own computer (or external). The proxy would roundrobin the web3 queries to a pool of rpc servers. Most of the work is already done here https://github.com/vocdoni/davinci-node/blob/main/web3/rpc/web3_pool.go so I'd only need to write the server side that would proxy the requests.

Hey @v @dwr.eth is the relation FID -> Wallet available somewhere onchain? I wonder how to actually verify a Wallet belongs to a FID without trusting on Farcaster Hubs. For voting we would need that capability, so we can build a zkSNARK proof validating the address and the fid.
