Tried vibe coding after days of preparing docs, cursor rules, etc. and only got trash output so back to artisanal hand coding.

Literally couldnt setup a babel config properly. Spent almost an hour prompting before i gave up and looked at docs and fixed the issue in <2 minutes. 🫣

Even with Cursor pro + composer mode + o3-mini + indexed docs

Am i doing something wrong?

My experience exactly, generally interacting with AI. When I want one specific thing from it it just doesn’t do it right. Or I spend more time prompting and instructing it than I would doing it myself

Ya even after 2 years of development and tooling i feel like its still at the same level. Only thing its useful for is things that are entirely new to you like using a new language. It cant even write docs or comments well
