trying to call addOwnerAddress on my coinbase smart wallet and getting "Error: Self calls are not allowed" on `keys.coinbase.com`

i'm assuming this is a security feature?

would like to add my ethereum wallet as an owner

Yeah we currently have this blocked because 3rd party sites could add and remove owners. We’ll be gradually opening this up as we get the security right

Is there a workaround or no way to update the owners right now?

Not yet. Recovery owner coming soon and then you could use that to do it if you wanted. 

But other wallets would need special handling to be able to sign for ours.
