Do you need to be obsessed to be successful? Is it possible to have a “healthy” obsession? Currently in my mid 20s, and I feel like if I’m not obsessed I’m not gonna be where I want to be in my 30s. But at the same time I value a healthy lifestyle (been obsessed w games before and its mentally destructive)

I think it depends on how you define success. So what does being successful by your 30s mean for you?

hm, in an attempt to be succinct, I think it's a balance of making enough money to do the things I love, mastering my craft, and being surrounded by those I love. I think the the last one requires taking a step back, but the first 2 require me to invest an extraodinary amount of time.

I don't confidently know all the answers but I would reframe your mindset as being incredibly driven. Obsessed is defined as being controlled by a powerful force. If you are incredibly driven, you are in control but can still aggressively pursuing the first 2. The people who love you will love you for being driven!

I love that reframing.
