I disagree with the conclusion as well. The vision of Diego Fernandez from Quark ID is actually quite progressive from someone being in the Govt space. Now that he has left the Govt of Buenos Aires to work on his own startup, it will be interesting to see where Quark ID goes.

Would you say this is somewhat aligned to the problem you are alluding to in your article? Perhaps similar uses of ZKP tech and merkle trees could allow for this flexibility of users to have multiple identifiers (similar to personalities?).

Interesting, and I agree "we are all Sybils", human nature is multi-faceted. One interesting thing we have contributed in Polygon ID is the ability for a credential holder to manage different profiles (and be able to prove ownership of any credential assigned to any of his other identifiers via merkle trees).

1 - The credentials live in the user's device 2 - QR code is generated from the browser asking to present credential 3 - User scans the QR code with their phone 4 - A FIDO tunnel is setup using the Client to Authenticator Protocol (CTAP) between the computer and the phone 5 - Credential is exchanged via the tunnel

Curious to hear people's thoughts about Google and Apple wallets impending adoption of various forms of Digital Credentials directly in their native wallets. The Digital Credentials API demo at IIW a couple of weeks ago signals a change of course in my mind.
