The news just came out that Ukrainian journalist Victoria Roshchyna has died in russian captivity. There are more than 25 other Ukrainian journalists still being held captive, along with many other civilians. In case you were wondering how dangerous it is to cover the war and genocides in 2024, not only are members of the press being targeted and killed, but they are also being held in captivity and tortured for lengthy periods of time. Both russia and the state of Israel are currently killing off journalists with impunity, as if international law doesn’t exist, and I wish this was talked about more ❤️🩹
