i've been using the 'xyz casted for the first time in a while' notifications to unfollow people

Something I’m thinking about after posting on Farcaster for the first time in a while:

The only way for me to force notify my followers of a cast is to not post for a while

What if posters could pay a minimum fee (set uniquely by each follower) to auto notify their followers of a cast🤔

I think giving people 1 "announcement" a week could work. We almost launched that feature a year ago. Might actually ship it.

1 announcement per week (then let them pay for more 😉)

i dont think this would churn users if the users were able to set a min fee according to their preference

bigger question is whether posters would actually pay and for who would the pay

gives me time.fun / attention market vibes

I'm highly skeptical of that as a consumer behavior

Same and generally agree that it can be an “expensive” experiment from a retention perspective
