Zero Knowledge Proofs - want to learn how to program them but not sure where to start? https://zkintro.com/articles/programming-zkps-from-zero-to-hero Any new and innovative technology is hard to learn. This tutorial makes it easy for you, the working programmer, to learn how to write ZKPs from scratch. You'll build a digital signature scheme, deepen your mental model, get the hang of the edit-debug-run cycle, and gain the ability to develop things like group signatures. Includes plenty of exercises and graphics to deepen your grok. For anyone who write code for a living and wants to program the future with ZKPs.

Mopro CLI now allows you to create, build, change and test a ZK app in iOS in under 5 minutes, woop woop Check out the demo here: https://www.loom.com/share/6ff382b0497c47aea9d0ef8b6e790dd8 Get started here: https://github.com/oskarth/mopro/tree/main/mopro-cli

Sounds good, completely missed it during TBW 2023! Quite a lot of side events (we are hosting a bunch of ZK related events) going on so might be good to set a date, can also help spread it on TG/X for people not following this channel

I probably just need to RTFM but how are channels created, who decides based on what, and how does “governance”/hosting of channels work?

A follow up question might be, "Can something like Anon-Aadhaar v1 be done in less than 1.7m constraints with ~equivalent functionality?" The answer is most definitely yes. Different proof systems, more efficient circuits, using lookup tables, folding schemes, other innovative approaches etc. Very different question :)

What you are talking about is a different approach to circuit design. While interesting, this is orthogonal to the question "how big can circuits (in number of constraints) be on mobile?", with vastly different ways of approaching performance bottlenecks.

While there is more work to be done (including improving performance), this gives us confidence to get Anon-Aadhaar v1 to work on mobile in the form of a showcase app. For more details, read here: https://hackmd.io/5ItB2D50QcavF18cWIrmfQ?view=#Results. To be continued.

This is important, because most ZK Identity solutions have the same ballpark complexity (~1m constraints), and they have to be run from mobile to function as desirable. Circom is also still the most mature stack out the there, and other stacks come with different trade-offs.

We previous did a PoC with Anon-Aadhaar (160k constraints). With AA v1 (nullifiers+selective disclosure, see https://twitter.com/PrivacyScaling/status/1757828914733310047 for more) constraints increased more than 10x to 1700k. We weren't sure if this was still feasible on mobile, so we wanted to test this.

CLIENT SIDE PROVING: How big can circuits for mobile proving be? With Anon-Aadhaar v1 circuits being 1.7m constraints, we wanted to answer this question with Project MoPerf. While there are many performance related concerns the biggest blocker is memory usage. With modern phones with 4GB we can do 1.7m+ constraints.

Two months on from Reddit killing it's API: - Personal usage has dropped ~95% - Completely off my phone, only view occasionally from search - Warpcast has oriented around channels, perfect replacement I was a hardcore user of over 10 years, now I go days without using the site at all

They also have a website hay-on-wye.co.uk One of the worlds biggest literary festivals takes place there every year in May, but you can visit year around AFAIK. You can do wild water swimming in the river nearby too.
