there's a mass divergence on my X timeline re: Berachain

one side: people saying it is one of the most impactful airdrops, the most supportive community, an unparalleled culture, etc.

other side: people saying it is one of the biggest grifts, a way to wreck retail, embarrassing, etc.

i don't own bags but i have some great doxxed friends in that community. many backed my last startup too.

they're the most amazing community within crypto. beyond bags. just good people. the only place i saw people lift others up.

the answer to your q is in the middle. the amazing bit is that the chain was started and eventually launched by a bunch of bong bear nft creators. while most other nft projects and vc chains have grifted. bera shipped. and b/c degen af and solid builders, they'll see real projects (defi more, other narratives less)

the diff b/w olympus and other nft or even daos like nouns was that people weren't there for the money/treasury. everyone was they're for the vibes, to learn and stick it to the man controlling money. not saying one is better. just different intent/motivations/vibes
