thanks @jacopo.eth :) would be interesting to tease out the difference there. in my mind onchain commerce is about disintermediating payment processors (paypa, stripe, square), whereas DeCom is about disintermediating platform marketplaces (airbnb, uber, upwork, thumbtack) very complimentary, but distinct verticals.

ah I see! that makes sense, but it probably needs some explanation to avoid confusion. I think there are multiple aspects downstream of decentralization in commerce, including enabling p2p transactions. perhaps onchain commerce is broader—referring to commercial transaction on the blockchain—while it being decentralized is one of its possible characteristics? some solutions might qualify for onchain commerce but not necessarily be decentralized in that sense but yes I agree, it's an interesting nuance
