Since Spam labels are now public, Iβve spent some time looking at things these accounts have in common vs accounts that donβt get labeled and this is my initial advice for people whoβve been labeled. 1. STOP sharing frames. If you didnβt build it, donβt share it. 2. Stop recasting. Instead, quote cast and spell out why you are sharing it. What makes this worthy of being shared? 3. Ensure 80% of your timeline is original content. Donβt steal it from the web, make something unique and genuine. It better to not cast at all than to cast slop. 4. Only reply to people in channels. If someone casts to their home feed and doesnβt follow you, donβt comment. 5. Stop tagging people. They donβt get notified of the tags anyway. Itβs pointless to tag them.

appreciate you sharing this insight @pichi - for some reason my buddies @opstudios & @banthafodderdan who I have been engaging with for months with genuine authentic content has been labeled as spammy and don't do any of the above. Very odd - it is kind of annoying that his replies to my casts were hidden in the graveyard of "more replies" even though I follow him, meanwhile this SUS bot came up in my main replies

That sounds like a bug. Can you share the cast this happened? Was it in a channel that enforce memberships? I will investigate.

Thats an interesting theory. I still dont think its ever happened. I ran them both in the labels frame, one was flagged as high risk which I have NO clue how - I have been engaging with him across channels for months and hes far from spammy. the other passed the label test. but reply was still hidden. Here is the original cast below Since they both were hidden it could be a channel thing, but I will stake my entire reputation on @opstudios as not being spammy. Im confident my reputation speaks for itself, ive seen spam. I appreciate you looking into it. https://warpcast.com/basement5k.eth/0x608e682f

Its crucial to differentiate two things to explain more deeply. Varun announced our public labels this week. Some users will be in certain category but that does not mean our model is perfect and its a final state. We are actively iterating on the models and it will only get better with users like you vouching for others. I've now made a note specifically for @opstudios. Separately β channels have their own model of what shows above the fold in a thread versus not. As we moved to the new version of channels last year, we have moved to membership model and channel managers have the full control here. Meaning: anyone they set as a member, will show above the fold regardless what Warpcast labels that account. If channel is a public channel (anyone can post) or the poster is not a member yet, then Warpcast will apply some heuristics. Important to remember β channel owners and managers have full control here. Please continue to share specific examples where labels seems off and tag me or anyone on the team.
