Firstly, these comments are coming from a place of caring. So please keep that in mind.

I think some folks here have (hopefully temporarily) lost the plot, or haven't really made the effort to understand it when coming here in the first place. Everyone here right now has the incredible privilege of being part of a small, tight-knit community of people - many of whom have a proven track record of delivering really impressive products with millions of users.

Remember - this is a social graph being built that is not controlled by a single corporation that can change or revoke your access to it at their whim. 

You want to go back that sort of environment from here? Seriously? People talking like this are just telegraphing that they have put zero energy into truly understanding what is going on here and what is at stake.
