There are two big Web3 marketing problems: Activation & Retention. Projects launch. Run campaigns to attract new users. Announce the milestone. Then go quiet. The day-to-day struggle becomes activating and retaining "said" new users. If you struggle with this, read this post.

In marketing, growth is in phases: --> Acquisition (getting new users) --> Activation (closing the trust gap) --> Retention (returning users) --> Referral (customer loyalty) --> Revenue (making profit) The buyer’s journey is not always a straight line too. For example, family and friends try to support you. (Straight to revenue) Marketing campaigns convert users(acquisition level) or make them affiliates(Acquisition to Referral). But to grow, you need to close the trust gap and retain users. Here's my advice for activating and retaining users: 1. Use community as a strong channel. Engage often with your community. Ask for feedback. Launch campaigns tied to instant conversions. Increase points/rewards for returning users.

2. Start content marketing. Don't be hurried, churning content out with AI. Do keyword research, and use social listening tools to mine user pain points. Curate resources addressing these problems and make available via distribution channels. Maintain a strong gap that your product can perfectly fill. 3. Do competitor research. Don't sweat the small stuff. Your competitors have faced similar challenges in the past. Study the big players; how they engage, post cadency, post time, community activities.
