8 reasons why Web3 projects fail at marketing(and how to avoid it). Trust me, it’s not only the marketer’s fault. Let’s dig in: The first reason is Focusing on Hype Over Substance This is the most obvious problem and still the most ignored. Founders like quick results and as a response, marketers rely on hype-driven campaigns e.g. “Let’s do a Telegram promotion.” “Let’s do an airdrop announcement.” “Oh, let’s pay that influencer.” The result is a throng of people who do not care about your project. Don’t fall into that trap. Do this instead👇

Do this instead: —> Take an educational approach Educate your audience on why your project matters, rather than simply hyping up speculative gains. Create a hub of resources showing and telling people how your project impacts the ecosystem. —> Change the narrative. Build a value-driven narrative that highlights your project’s utility e.g. what users get when they use your product, how your product is better than its Web2 counterpart, customer feedback, case studies of successful customers, etc. This is the first in an 8-part series on why Web3 projects fail and how to avoid it. Passing the pen to @valucop to give us reason number 2! ==) Need a marketing strategist for your Web3 project? Send me a DM. Gm
