When should you get your smart contracts audited?

2. When total funds hit $50k
3. When total funds hit $100K
4. When total funds hit $500K+
5. Other

1 is the only decent answer. Even if you get exploited with 100k TVL and refund everyone, you will have suffered irreparable reputation damage making it difficult to ever gain trust again.

As TVL increases (or as soon as you have the funds), a full audit should be performed. PS. Certik doesn't count ;)

Just to clarify - a full, expensive audit may not always be required. Having a friend of a friend scan for obvious security issues could be enough, and is often free (assuming you have formed decent connections and friends in the space already)
