Quite a few questions about "is my data encrypted? or "are hubs private"" Casts, like, follows are not encrypted and likely won't ever be. This is a public social network and the expectation is that this data is open to everyone. Direct messages are also not encrypted but they will be in the future. This is a private message between people or groups of people and the expectation is that the data is not open.

Privacy concerns about data encryption and hub security are valid. Users should be informed about the level of protection for their information on social platforms
