The past few days I've walked 20+ miles apartment hunting in Bangkok during the most popular (high season). I'm looking forward to finalizing a place soon. A pro move that worked for me in Nimman, Chiang Mai is to ask to place a hold on an apartment/extended stay for a small fee to give yourself more time to search.
