I think this is a red herring. There was a primary where Joe Biden was effectively the only candidate… how much choice did we have in that? None. Since then Biden underperformed in the debate. The people expressed their desire for him to step aside in poll after poll along with donors and party leaders. Biden eventually realized he is not in the position to continue to seek a new term and steeped aside for the good of the party and the nation. Harris, his VP, democratically elected to step in if needed… is doing just that. She has been endorsed by many democrats throughout the party… our representatives in this representative democracy. Our delegates, regional representatives of the interests of the people, will now do their duty to represent those interests and confirm a nominee at the convention. It’s not how we’ve done it since before the primary era (since 1972) but… it seems clear the will of Democratic voters is well represented here.

Yeah maybe the will of the Democratic party loyalists but because there's no democratic process in the primaries and they do everything to keep third parties off ballots and struggling, the result is: it's not a democratic country and most people don't have representation. The politicians just do what the donors want anyway. This isn't some minor detail it's a fundamental problem with our system that requires political revolution to overcome.

I’d love to see rank choice voting continue to get traction. A popular idea on the democratic side. Revolution can take many paths.
