It's sad that Bernie of all people sold out to their corrupt party, too. He started independent and stayed independent a long time, but not forever.

Yes my naive fantasy utopia where the USA doesn't bomb any more countries or accept being ruled by the Oligarchs. A fantasy worth pursuing, to me.

Your fantasy seems nice. The problem is you have to have some sort of foreign policy ideas that function in a world where people want to blow you up. There is no functional way around it. This is the rules of the world we live in. Ask your parents how it felt to live in the 40s and 50s or your grandparents. I would love to stop bombing countries and meddling in their affairs. But China and Russia and India and a fuck ton of other countries will and are going to step up and do the same in our absence. I really really wish it could be different. But this is the mullock problem. The first person to cave to temptation wins and there are too many selfish people/nations in the world to not participate. If you want a country that doesn’t meddle there are a few. But not many. Trust me, I wish it could be your way. But it can’t and will never be.
