Scary when someone is spamming account recovery attempts on your main google account. I'm assuming they can't succeed but who knows. Losing that would be devastating, it's very weird how that is the case, it's very much like an official part of my identity like an ID card or social security card. Seems bad.

I'm not even sure what all that would entail, I'd have to write it out in steps for myself I think. First I'm sure there is a way to archive old gmail and cloud data. I'd need to list all the services I use google for login or backup. Dozens I'm sure. Would be smart to do though.

Yeah, there more options than most realize but definitely a process. Some email providers allow you to port archives over easily. Different search engines have their pros and cons, but many are superior in most aspects. I'm still in process and I think that docs may be the toughest since so many people use it, but you can hold on to yr account for just that.

For sure, I haven't searched on google in a long time, it just got worse and worse over the years. Mostly I use DDG for search, or Venice for questions.

Actually I still use google search for images though and Lens for reverse image search
