Sabrina Salvati with discussion on Trump's tariff threats against BRICS. Apparently the US plan is to put new sanctions on half the planet's population which will somehow discourage them from moving away from the US dollar reserve standard. Seems to me like it would have the exact opposite effect. But as Sabby points out, capitalism is never really about free markets but it's just about control and imperialism. If they were really for fair competition they would welcome a multipolar world rather than stubbornly holding on to the US-Empire dominated world of the second half of the 20th century.
Trump's tariff threats may just be a bunch of hot air but we should be clear they'd be terrible for Americans and need to be stopped.

And good luck with the others too... Even South Africa, I'm sure he wants to just because of Palestine and the ICC/ICJ so he'll go after them any way he can but it will just push more countries to move away from the dollar so it doesn't happen to them.
