I often get asked by friends if it's still worth investing in crypto and what to buy. That's after the eye-rolls, pitying looks, and getting laughed at on Thanksgiving.
In all seriousness, here's my advice:
Don’t allocate more than you can afford to lose (a few percentage points of your portfolio)
Keep it simple - a balanced set of BTC, ETH and SOL, held without making stupid frequent trades will probably out-perform 90% of strategies over a longer horizon, and give decent exposure to the space without too much brain damage
Don’t check the charts. And expect a long holding period, and a lot of volatility
(Or alternatively, check out @alongside - awesome people building the index funds of crypto)
Obviously if you’re reading this, you might be much more experienced / have a much higher risk tolerance, or just be a full degen. In that case, this doesn’t apply
What do you think / what do you tell friends? 0 reply
