Got to sit in with a couple folks who are prepping various barista competitions. been fortunate enough to get in on the “regular” ones (world barista comp, tasters cup, brewers cup, latte art) but this was my first time sitting in on someone’s run for “coffee in good spirits,” which combines booze and coffee. 

drink on the left was a chilled rum x espresso drink w yuzu and more. drink on the right was a hot(!) aeropress with an excellent Kenya, bolstered by star anise, cinnamon and amaro.
