We stayed here last year in Kawaguchiko around this time. https://kukuna.jp/# Got up at 4 to go sit in the public onsen and watch the moon gave way to a sunrise over Fuji-san. Magical. Be aware: there are even more tourists this year and this town can be very busy depending on when you go.
