one aspect in film that sticks out to me is the criticality of the editing and how that becomes "the cutting room floor". usually it's jokes or bloopers, but there's no shortage of creative adaptation. I'm mostly saying this b/c a particular youtube channel improvised some free real estate for even more "signature".

many feel editing is the “real” making of the movie, the shaping of perception etc. a good editor is arguably as important if not more than a good director.

same w/ music director. kind of uncanny how the crew is speckled with high-stakes responsibilities to be preeminent over the entire field for a real blockbuster. mediocre editing? it bombs. mediocre soundtrack/direction? straight-to-video.
