Self-sabotage is... ...knowing exactly what you need to do to improve but not doing it. It's procrastinating doing the very things that you know will make you happier. It's waiting till things are 100% perfect till you do them, but that of course never happens. It's remaining in the comfort zone because of the fear of failure or uneasiness of change. It's a mindset that you may be completely unaware of until you really think about it. So think about it. Are you a prisoner of your own thoughts? If you are, take responsibility and acknowledge you put yourself into that prison. But know that you have the power to free yourself.

Self-sabotage is such a relatable struggle, and your description hits home. It’s that frustrating cycle where we know what we should be doing, yet we find every excuse to hold back. I’ve definitely been there 🤦 waiting for the “perfect” moment that never arrives, convincing myself that I’ll start when everything aligns just right. I realized that the comfort zone, while cozy, can become a cage. It’s easy to say, “I’ll wait until I’m ready,” but in reality, that readiness often comes only through action, not contemplation. What’s helped me is recognizing those moments of hesitation and challenging my own thoughts. Taking responsibility is a powerful first step. Acknowledging that I’m the one holding the keys to my own prison has been liberating. I’m learning to embrace the messiness of my progress and to take small, imperfect steps forward 🙂‍↕️
