People do not understand HOW MUCH JavaScript has given me and my family. In 2013, in college, I moved out with a handful of Euros and a half college degree. My parents gave me nothing and I always aimed for sustainable financial freedom. In uni they had taught me Java and so in some HiWi jobs through university and freelancing, I learned myself JavaScript because it was just more useful. A decade later every single thing that I own, the freedom of creating Kiwi News without an actual job, being able to write whatever I want on here, every item that I own, literally everything is a result of being a capable JavaScript engineer. No other things has my life better than knowing JavaScript.
